Abstract

1393196 Storage systems P L FARREN 31 May 1973 [8 June 1972] 25969/73 Heading A4T A storage system comprises laterally'movable storage units &10a-10e, 12a-12e, 14a-14e, 16a- 16e which support stationary platforms 28 fixed to a building housing the system. As shown each storage system comprises vertical supports 40, 42, defining an upper storage area 36 and a lower storage area 38, supported by rollers 52 on tracks 24, the platforms 28 being supported by rollers 44 carried by the supports 40, 42. The gap between the platforms 28 is closed by pivotal flaps 122. Alternatively Fig.5 (not shown) lower storage units (56) run on rollers (62) and carry rollers (58) supporting a floor (54) on which upper storage units (66) are supported.
