Abstract

1392609 Stereo reproducing systems ROVER CO Ltd 3 Nov 1972 [12 Nov 1971] 52552/71 Heading H4R In a sound reproduction system for a passenger vehicle which has at least two output channels, e.g. a stereo record player, radio, or tape reproducer, the high frequencies of each channel are reproduced by respective primary loud-speakers while the low frequencies of both channels are combined and fed to a single secondary loud-speaker system. As described the primary loud-speakers are mounted in the roof of a saloon car one each side adjacent the leading edge of the rear door and the secondary loud-speaker is enclosed in an infinite baffle enclosure which is mounted in a central arm rest of the back or front seat. The speaker is mounted so as to be effective with the arm next either raised or lowered.
