Abstract

1392519 Embossing films H & A SCOTT Ltd 5 Oct 1973 [7 Sept 1972] 41624/72 Heading B5B [Also in Division F2] An embossed plastics film is produced by contacting at least one surface of an at least partially molten film with the patterned surface of a fluorocarbon polymer coated roller. Preferably the roller comprises a steel core, coated with nitrile rubber surrounded by a sleeve of polytetrafluoroethylene or polychlorotrifluoroethylene. Exemplified is a film of polypropylene.
