Abstract
1392549 Supporting workpieces during electro-chemical treatment SEIDEL KG GEBR 25 Aug 1972 [30 August 1971] 39701/72 Heading C7B A plurality of parts having circular edges or apertures are electro-chemically treated e.g electro-plated or anodized whilst secured to a frame comprising a conductive main structure consisting of at least one metal web 2 secured to a conductive bar (not shown) and holders 3, one for each part 1,5 and each composed of three non- conductive rods engaging the circular edge Fig. 2 or aperture Fig. 1 and converging towards a point in a direction either towards or away from respectively at least one resilient rail 4 pressing the holders carrying the parts against the web. Holders may be of polypropylene or polycarbonate and connected in pairs to a clamping rail 6 Fig. 3. The resilient rails may be flexible air-filled tubes of elastomeric substance protected by PTFE and arranged in pairs fitted with holders on two opposite sides of a web 7 Fig.4. A plurality of metal webs may be combined to form a metal grid. The parts may be metallic workpieces or non-metallic workpieces rendered conductive.
