1392001 Protective garments; overshoes A A COOPER 29 March 1973 [5 April 1972] 15626/72 Headings A3B and A3V A protective garment e.g. an overshoe, bath, rain or operating theatre hat or gloves, comprises a bag 11 of sheet plastics material closed at its bottom 14 and sides 15 to leave an open mouth, the perimetral edge of the mouth being folded back and heat sealed to provide a closed channel round the mouth, and an endless band 13 of elastically extensible material disposed in the channel to contract the perimeter of the mouth. The preferred material for the bag 11 is opaque polyvinyl chloride and the band 13 is preferably of rubber. Ventilation holes 16 may be provided in the bag 11.
