Abstract

1391050 Excavator buckets CATERPILLAR TRACTOR CO 4 Sept 1973 [11 Sept 1972] 41576/73 Heading E1F A bucket 10 for use with a loader vehicle includes one or a pair of spaced reinforcement structures 24, 25 secured to the bottom wall 12 portion of the bucket. The or each reinforcement structure defines a box section which runs transversely of the cutting edge of the bucket. The section is defined by a pair of ribs 26, 28 which run continuously rearward from the cutting edge 20 along the bottom wall portion and may extend up the rear wall portion of the bucket and a plate 50 secured to the lower edges of the ribs. Additional bracing ribs 42, 48 and bracing plates 44, 46 may form part of the or each structure.
