Abstract
1390628 Making aerial reflectors SPECTRUM AERIALS Ltd 24 Oct 1973 [23 Nov 1972] 54285/72 Heading B3A [Also in Division H4] A collapsible aerial reflector is of plate-like form and is made in two parts 6, 7 which are pivotally interconnected. In their operative positions the plates extend at right angles to the axis of a boom 5, and in their transport positions they lie in planes which are parallel to, and on opposite sides of the said axis. As shown in Fig. 1, the part 6 is in its operative position and the part 7 in its transport position. Pressed-out pairs of lugs 10 extend from the parts 6, 7 through which, and through the boom 5, a blot 8 extends and is engaged by a wing-nut 9. Stops 15 prevent movement of the parts 6, 7 beyond thier operative positions, and lugs 11 engaging in slots 12 may then be bent over to fix the two parts together. Strengthening ribs 14 are porvided, and slots 13, to reduce wind resistance.
