Abstract

1390409 Coated sheet materials IMPERIAL GROUP Ltd 9 July 1973 [12 July 1972] 32481/72 Heading B2E [Also in Division Dl] The tissue layer of a paper tissue-aluminium foil laminate 16 is coated with sinuous lines 24 of menthol by passing the laminate with tissue side uppermost horizontally below at least one transversely oscillating or reciprocating delivery nozzle. The menthol is heated to approximately 50‹C before application and two air nozzle systems are arranged downstream of the application zone to spread the liquid applied at the peaks 25 of the sinuous lines and to cool the coated layer before wind up. The product is suitable for use as wrapping material for batches of cigarettes.
