Abstract

1390334 Valves CHRISTIAN BURKERT BAU ELEKTRISCHER GERATE GmbH 4 June 1973 [3 June 1972] 26457/73 Heading' F2V [Also in Division H1] In a solenoid valve in which the armature 4 is axially movable within a bore 14 in a plastics bobbin 1 for the coil 2, the bobbin has a tubular extension 15 engaged by one or more magneticflux guide elements 3 and terminating in a flange 16 against which a casing portion 6 is sealed via resilient seal 5. The elements 3 also engage a magnet body 11 sealingly projecting into the bobbin. The armature 4 has axial channels 17 in its periphery and is resiliently urged into abutment with seat 8 as shown by a spring 22 to provide communication between passages 18, 21. However, on energization of the coil, the armature moves into abutment with seat 10 and thereby provides communication between passages 19, 21. The bore 14 may be of circular, square or other cross-sectional form. The casing portion 6 may be of plastics.
