Abstract

1390173 Fluid pressure switches VDO ADOLF SCHINDLING AG 20 Feb 1973 [22 Feb 1972] 8305/73 Heading H1N In a fluid-pressure diaphragm actuated switch the diaphragm 8, Fig. 2, is convex towards the higher pressure side and snaps over-centre at a predetermined pressure to actuate the contacts. The edge of the diaphragm is clamped between the casing parts 1, 3 against a resilient ring 9 which permits flexing movement at the periphery. The movable contact 19 on the diaphragm 8 engages an adjustable contact 20 threaded in the casing. The diaphragm is engaged on the low pressure side by a coil spring 23 adjustable in position by a threaded ring 22. In a modification the diaphragm may engage a microswitch.
