Abstract

1389051 Magnetic tape recorders SUEDATLAS-WERKE GmbH GES FUR TEXTVERARBEITUNG 26 Jan 1972 [28 Jan 1971] 3597/72 Addition to 1309818 Heading G5R The tape recorder reel drive arrangement of the parent Specification is modified by rigidly mounting a belt driven pulley wheel 4 and an integral sleeve like friction wheel 36 on a spindle 37 such that when the spindle is supported in a bearing sleeve 38 on a lever 7, the lever may be rocked either to bring the spindle into contact with a wheel 11. The contact being established through a cut-out portion 39 of the sleeve 38 as illustrated, or the lever may be rocked to bring the wheel 36 into contact with a wheel 14 for driving a further wheel 12 (as in Fig. 3, not shown). The tape reel spindles 8, 9 may therefore be selectively driven slowly/quickly for winding/re-winding tape.
