Abstract

1388499 Bearings of electric motors FISKER & NIELSEN AS 4 Oct 1972 [17 Dec 1971] 45762/72 Heading H2A [Also in Division F2] A rolling bearing assembly 1, 2 supporting the rotor of a commutator motor is mounted with radial play in a bore 5 by means of two discrete spring members 9 located with an angular spacing of substantially 120 degrees along the circumference of the outer race 2 and resiliently compressed in the radial direction between the outer race and the bore. The members may be leaf springs (Fig. 2), rubber rollers (Fig. 3), helical springs of rectangular-sectioned wire, or helically-slit metal sleeves.
