Abstract

1388244 Refrigeration APPLIED AIR CONDITIONING EQUIPMENT PTY Ltd 11 July 1973 [17 July 1972] 33064/73 Heading F4H A refrigeration machine for use in air conditioning comprises two centrifugal compressors 6, 8 mounted on a shell structure 4 which is divided to provide an evaporator chamber 16 and two condenser chambers 50, 52. The compressors have input ducts 38, 40 connected to the evaporator chamber 16 and output ducts 44, 46 connected to the respective condenser chambers 50, 52. Condensed refrigerant drains into sumps 66, 68 in the chambers 50, 52 and passes, under the control of float valves 74, 76, through tubes 70, 72 to a supply channel 34 formed between plates 12, 14. The refrigerant then expands through nozzles 32 into the evaporator chamber 16. Heat transfer tubes 20, 54 of primary and secondary circuits pass through the evaporator and condenser chambers.
