Abstract
1388065 Transformers and inductors HIGH VOLTAGE ENG CORP 6 July 1972 [12 July 1971] 31806/72 Addition to 1207143 Heading H1T In an inductor or transformer arrangement similar to that disclosed in Specification 1,207,143, and comprising a plurality of winding coils disposed about separated magnetic core leg portions 186, 188, 190, 192, the coils being connected to their core leg portions to establish the potentials thereof, there is provided a high voltage terminal 301 at the centre of the core leg, this terminal comprising a thin planar conducting structure arranged to distribute both surge and A.C. voltages uniformly over the winding and magnetic leg. In detail, Fig. 6, the terminal 301 comprises an insulated copper or aluminium band wound with an adjacent insulating bond (303, Fig. 7, not shown). A weld 304 interconnects the turns of the coil. The opposite side is cut, separated, and provided with insulating spacers.
