Abstract

1388061 Catalyst for shift reaction EXXON RESEARCH & ENG CO 17 Jan 1972 .2089/72 Addition to 1281051 Heading C5E A catalyst composition used for a low temperature shift reaction is a mixture of at least one alkali-metal compound of an acid having an ionization constant of less than 10<SP>-3</SP> and a mixture of vanadium with molybdenum tungsten; a mixture of molybdenum with chromium or tungsten; a mixture of cobalt with iron; or chromium the weight ratio of heavy metal to alkali metal being in the range 0À001 : 1 to 10 : 1. The catalyst may be supported on a carrier. The process is carried out in the manner described in Specification 1,281,051.
