1387176 Power steering A EHRENREICH & CIE 28 March 1972 [3 May 1971] 14483/72 Heading B7H In a hydraulic power-assisted rack and pinion steering gear the rack 2 forms the centre section of a three-section track rod, the outer sections being linked to the ends of the rack, and the pressure chamber 11, 12 surrounds the toothed part of the rack. The pinion 3 divides the pressure chamber into right- and left-hand chambers 11, 12 and pistons 9, 10 are provided directly at the end of the rack teeth.
