Abstract

1386654 Rock drill ETABS MONTABERT 23 Feb 1972 [18 March 1971] 8241/72 Heading B3C [Also in Division B4] A rock drill comprises a first hydraulic motor 4 for rotating a drill steel 3 and a second hydraulic motor 1 for applying axial blows to the drill steel, the motors being connected in series, and the first motor being connected to a hydraulic line to which a pressure regulator 7, 8 is connected. The pressure regulator keeps the pressure of the liquid supplied to the drill at a constant value. In the embodiment of Fig. 1, pressure HP 1 is maintained constant by the pressure regulator 7. In the embodiment of Fig. 2, the inlet of the second motor 1 is connected to the exhaust of the first motor and L an additional hydraulic line B. The pressure regulator 8, in this case, is a pressure-adding buffer valve which maintains the pressure HP 1 + HP 2 constant.
