1385659 Screening apparatus GOSUDARSTVENNY PROEKTNO - KONSTRUKTORSKY 1 EXPERIMENTALNY INSTITUT PO OBOGATITELNOMU OBORUDOVANIJU 21 Feb 1973 [21 Feb 1972] 8482/73 Heading B2H An apparatus for classifying particulate material according to size comprises a screen box 1 mounted on elastic supports 2 and having side walls 6 interconnected by crossbars 7 to which a screen 3 is secured, the side walls being connected to the cross-bars by resilient connections 8, and a motor-driven vibrator 4 mounted on the side walls for imparting oscillations to the box and screen. The connections 8 each comprise flanges 9 bolted to the side walls 6 and fitted on a respective cross-bar 7 with the interposition of a rubber or other elastic bushing 10 and a metal bushing 11, the bushing 10 being interconnected with the bushing 11. The screen 3 is made up of bars 12 attached to the cross-bars 7 by means of bolts 13 and traverse beams 14. The vibrator 4 consists of a shaft 15 carrying out-of-balance weights 17 and driven by a motor 5 through V-belts 19 and pulley 18 or through a universal joint. The vibrations of the box and screen may be circular, elliptical or rectilinear. Each elastic support 2 comprises a spring 20 or other elastic member.
