Abstract
1385188 Drum beaters POWERDRIVE DRUM CO Ltd 29 Dec 1972 [19 Oct 1971] 48598/71 Heading G5J Two beater heads 17, 17a, independently strike a single drum 10 when actuated by depression of the corresponding pedals 12, 12a, through crank linkages which partially rotate shafts 13, 13a, and through cords 16, 16a, which transmit this rotary motion between corresponding pulleys (27, 28 and 27a, 28a), Fig. 3 (not shown), against spring return bias provided by the tension springs 18, 18a. Shafts 13, 13a have a telescopic adjustment of length, with locking sleeves 14, 14a. An alternative embodiment, Fig. 4 (not shown), without cords, employs inclined shafts with ball-shaped ends, having transverse pins engaging slots (37, 44) in the housing bosses which they couple.
