Abstract

1384085 Reciprocating pumps ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 8 Nov 1972 [10 Nov 1971] 51509/72 Heading F1A A pump comprises at least one spring-loaded piston 8 reciprocated by an eccentric 5 and delivering via a spring-loaded delivery valve 13 to a line 25 with an accumulator 26, the valve 13 comprising a disc 14 with a stem 15 extending through a guide 18 into a vented chamber 19. In operation, when the pressure in line 25 exceeds a predetermined level set by valve spring 22, valve 13 is held off its seat by the differential pressure across its stem 15, the line pressure also acting via the pumping chamber to hold the spring-loaded suction valve closed, Fig. 2 (not shown). Delivery valve seat 12 is of plastics for quiet operation.
