Abstract

1383913 Rotary positive-displacement engines BIRMINGHAM SMALL ARMS CO Ltd 17 July 1972 [17 July 1971] 33675/71 Heading F1F A rotary piston internal combustion engine of the trochoidal type comprises an induction passage formed in part through the rotary piston 9, fuel being supplied from a carburetter 21 after air has been drawn through the rotor and before delivery of the inducted air into the working chamber 2. The induction passage comprises a passage 14 in one end plate 3 communicating with the rotor interior via openings 15, the air passing through openings 18, 19 in the rotor and openings 17 in the other end plate 4 into a passage 16 in plate 4. Passage 16 is connected by a duct 20 having the carburetter 21 with the working chamber 2.
