Abstract

1383593 Jib cranes POCLALN 9 Feb 1972 [22 March 1971] 6014/72 Heading B8B [Also in Division E1] Tools, e.g. an auger 22 and a block and tackle system 14a, 17a, 18a, are so carried by the ends 11a, 12a of a beam 8a having at its central zone a pivotal connection 9a to a jib 5a pivoted on a chassis 1, 2 that either tool may be operatively positioned for use by appropriate pivotal movement of the beam and the jib. The beam may be slightly concave as shown and holding means, e.g. flexible cable (26) may be provided on the jib for securing a tool on one end of the beam clear of the ground when the other tool is in use.
