Abstract

1382407 Fuel tanks DR-ING hcF PORSCHE AG 23 Aug 1973 [25 Aug 1972] 39927/73 Heading B7H An armoured vehicle has a plurality of cans 1 grouped in a frame 3 which may be pivoted between spaced holders 2, about a fuel pipe 4 forming a horizontal axis of rotation, from a dropping position 6, Fig. 3, into a fuel removal position 7, Fig. 1, in which each can is coupled to the pipe 4. As shown in Fig. 2, the pipe 4 has openings 10 which communicate with can openings 9 in the fuel removal position in which position each frame 3 is held by means of stops 12, 11 on the holder and frame respectively. A pipe 13, having an automatic valve 14 links each fuel pipe 4 to a main tank (not shown). Linkages, Bowden wires and the like may be connected to stops 11, 12 and to levers 8 by means of which the stops can be released to effect a return pivoting of the frame into the dropping position 6.
