Abstract
1382358 Dissipative line terminations G SPINNER 20 Dec 1972 [23 Dec 1971] 58779/72 Heading H1W In order to reduce the length of a matched high-frequeney dissipative termination, it is constructed as a system of concentric lines arranged one within another. In the embodiment shown, wave energy from line 110, 118 propagates first in the outer concentric line 115, 116, then in the inner line 122, 130. The coaxial conductors and the absorbing elements 128, 129 are shaped in known fashion to provide impedance matching. A modification is described (Fig. 1, not shown) in which the inner line is open-circuited and in which the flared transition 115 is replaced by a step.
