Abstract

1381347 Boilers; boiler stores ROHLING KG KESSELFABRIK MOHNETAL 6 April 1972 [6 April 1971] 15896/72 Headings F4A and F4W A boiler comprises a combustion chamber 10 having a burner 9 opposite a concave flame deflector wall 2 which in use deflects a substantial portion of the flame from the burner below the burner, the waste gas outlet 17 from the chamber being above the wall. As a result of the downward deflection of the flame the area on which the flame impinges is increased and any products of incomplete combustion rise through the flame and are consumed. The concave wall 2 defines a space 7 for water to be heated, a further space 16 being provided at the roof of the combustion chamber. Further boiling tubes 14, Fig. 6, may extend across the chamber in or below constriction 13 between the wall 12 containing the burner and the upward extension 4 of the wall 2. There may be baffles (15), Fig. 5 (not shown), between the tube 14 and the wall 4, and a baffle (21) in the flue 17. The flue may be divided by water sections 18, Fig. 6, extending downwards from the section 16 almost to the wall 6, or by sections (19), Fig. 7 (not shown), connecting the sections 7 and 16.
