Abstract
1381278 Testing coins EASTMEAD ENG CO Ltd and McLENNAN ENG Ltd 27 Nov 1972 [10 Nov 1971] 52317/71 Heading G4V A coin tester comprises a bridge network capable of being balanced by a genuine coin 11 passing between coils L2, L3 of the network and when so balanced supplying a predetermined output signal which controls accept/reject pin 12. The bridge further includes variable resistors VR1, VR2, coil L1 and the secondary winding of a transformer TX1 the primary of which is fed by oscillating transistor T1. The output of the bridge is amplified by transistors T2, T3 and supplied to a further transistor T4 which becomes conductive when the bridge is balanced, the output of transistor T4 triggers a monostable network T5, T6 and T7, the output of this network being amplified and energizing coil S1 of the accept/reject pin 12, to withdraw the pin from the shoot and allow the coin to pass to accept shoot 14.
