Abstract

1379996 Laminated plastics films KAY LABORATORIES Inc 7 April 1972 16247/72 Heading B5N [Also in Division B8] A rupturable container 11 is made from a laminate comprising first and second layers 21, 23 of flexible sheet material bonded together, a selected region of the layers being bonded less strongly than the remainder so that it will rupture when the container is struck. The layers 21 and 23 are respectively of polyethylene and polyethylene terephthalate and are bonded together by a layer of adhesive 25. An inhibiting layer 27 of ink is provided between the layers 21 and 23 in the selected region, this being in the region of the longitudinal seam of the container which is folded over to mechanically weaken the layer 23.
