Abstract

1379778 Movable bag support in packing device APPARATENBOUW MOBA NV 8 Sept 1972 [10 Sept 1971] 41738/72 Heading B8C In a device for packing objects which are pushed through a sleeve into a bag, the bag support 78 is movable between a first position below the sleeve and a second position in which the bag surrounds at least the lower part of the sleeve. The bag support 78 is mounted for vertical movement, controlled by a roller 84 co-operating with an ascending and descending track 85, beneath the modelling sleeve 64, 65 described in Specification 1,379,776. The support 78 is moved upwardly when the chicken is in the sleeve 64, 65 so that the bottom of the bag is adjacent the lower end of the sleeve and is moved downwardly with the chicken. The empty bag is placed around a stationary support member 96 and pivoted arms 93 when in the position shown in Fig. 12, the arms 93 then being drawn backwardly and outwardly to clamp the bag against a plate 95 by virtue of a roller 89 co-operating with a shaped track 90.
