Abstract

1378460 Car transporters LOHR SA 1 June 1973 [6 June 1972] 04301/74 Divided out of 1378459 Heading B7B In a vehicle transporter comprising a lorry 1 and a trailer 2 the upper platform of the lorry and/or trailer has two parallel longitudinal members 9 equipped with vehicle supporting ramps 10 disposed between the two longitudinal members. The platforms 4 are supported by uprights 8. Each ramp 10 has a forward part 10<SP>1</SP> pivoted at a point 12 on the members 9 and articulated to a rearward part 1011 so that when the front end of part 10<SP>1</SP> rises the rearward part descends for stacking of the vehicles. The lorry 1 and trailer 2 each have juxtaposed axles 5, 6 each axle having single wheels at each end spaced to allow vehicles to pass between the wheels.
