Abstract

1375982 Stripping sheets A B DICK CO 22 Nov 1971 [15 Dec 1970] 22940/74 Divided out of 1375981 Heading B8R In a mimeographic rotary duplicator in which the stencil is thermographically imaged before being fed to the cylinder 36, Fig. 1, after the required number of copies has been made ejection apparatus is automatically actuated whereby the used stencil is discharged from the cylinder into a roll of moving web material whereby the stencil is removed wrapped in the paper for any further use. The stencil eject apparatus comprises pneumatic means associated with a predetermined portion 39 of the cylinder 36 for separating at least a portion of the stencil from the cylinder by blowing air between the stencil and the cylinder. Means are provided to catch the separated stencil and draw it into a storage zone which comprises rolls 42, 44, for sandwiching the ejected stencil between layers of a protective material 43 and maintaining the stencil thus for re-use.
