Abstract
1375356 Ink ribbon mechanisms SCM CORP 3 May 1973 [3 May 1972] 21112/73 Heading B6F A guide arm which is pivotably connected to a ribbon cartridge housing Application 21111/73) at a fulcrum 30), has a pair of channels 44a and 44b formed therein for guiding the ribbon from the housing (12, Fig. 1) to a print point, defined by gap 22 and back to the housing. The end of the arm is V-shaped for reversal of the ribbon movement. A step 56 guides one side of the ribbon as it passes from one edge of the V to the other edge (Fig. 3). On one side of the arm, the step has channels (56a and 56b, Fig. 2) for guiding the ribbon. A transparent plastics sheet 58 is secured over ribbon guide channels 44a, 44b and a V-shaped cap 66 is secured to the step 56, this protecting the ribbon over most of the arm.
