Abstract

1375069 Distributing material J FUCHS 20 July 1972 [22 July 1971] 34083/72 Heading B8A Material from a conveyer outlet 13 is distributed by an inclined plate 1 rotated by the flowing material, the rotation causing the plate to follow also an orbital path about an axis parallel to the direction of flow of the material. As shown, the plate 1 is connected to a wheel 4 by a flexible drive shaft 14, the wheel engaging a fixed track 8 which supports, via bearings 9, a rotatable ring 7 carrying the wheel 4 and the plate 1. The angle of inclination of the plate 1 is adjustable. In other embodiments (Figs. 2-5) the plate 1 is carried by a rotatable shaft and carries a wheel 4 engaging a fixed track coaxial with the shaft, or the wheel 4 is driven by a vane situated on the path of the flowing material.
