Abstract

1372718 Reinforcement for concrete AV1 ALPENLANDISCHE VEREDELUNGS INDUSTRIE GmbH 28 Oct 1971 [6 Nov 1970] 50241/71 Heading E1W Elongate steel reinforcement elements are laid parallel to each other in a flat plane parallel to the shuttering and are supported by spacers each of which includes three interconnected supports, two of the supports engaging one reinforcement element at spaced positions to prevent it from rotating in said plane and the third support engaging an adjacent reinforcement element. The elements may comprise rod-pairs 9a, 9b linked by crossmembers 10 with the supports consisting of projections, e.g. I or R, resiliently engaged between the rod-pairs. Alternatively, Fig. 5 (not shown), the elements may comprise single rods received in recesses in the spacers. Spacers may be colour-coded to identify different values of the distance N between the supports.
