Abstract

1370605 Gripping tools K PUTSCH 3 Aug 1973 [23 Feb 1973] 36893/73 Heading B4W A pliers type wrench having an adjustableposition pivot for varying the size of the gap between the jaws, has substantially triangular gripping recesses 10, 11 in the jaws the deepest points S1, S2 of which are offset from each other in a direction along the length of the jaws and the two recesses together forming a substantially parallelogram-shaped opening when the jaws are closed. The handle 1 has a slot 7 to accommodate the pivot pin 3 in various positions and shoulders 8 in the slot 7 limit the closing movement of the jaws.
