Abstract

1370554 Packages TAYLOWE Ltd 13 July 1973 [29 Aug 1972] 40026/72 Headings B8C and B8P A packaging for small articles such as cosmetics, comprises a tubular carton 1 adapted to receive the article to be packed and provided with integral end closure means, and a backcard 3 provided on opposite edges with transversely aligned projecting tabs 4 which, when the carton 1 is applied to the card 3, are infolded and retained within the ends of the carton by the carton end closure means thereby securing the carton upon the card. As shown, a rectangular blank of board, or plastics, is folded about creases and secured, e.g. by heat-welding to form the tubular carton the blank having extensions with tuck-in flaps 2 at each end to form end closures. The card 3, made of board material, is provided with projecting tabs 4, which are adapted to be inturned about fold lines 5 and inserted within the ends of the carton between the tuck-in flaps 2 and the adjacent side panels of the carton.
