Abstract

137,029. Kendall, H. Dec. 24, 1918, [Convention date]. Bale-tie fasteners. -The fastener comprises a metal block A having a passage through which passes a wedge B having at its thinner end a projection B<1> which is sufficiently high to prevent withdrawal of the wedge when one end of the bale tie C is passed through the block. Thus, when the end C<1> of the tie is bent back upon itself as shown, the wedge cannot become separated from the block and the tie. To fasten the tie, its other end is passed between the wedge and the part C and the wedge is driven home.
