Abstract
1369921 Time switches MALLORY TIMERS Ltd 24 April 1972 [23 April 1971 11 June 1971] 18873/72 Heading H1N A timer comprises drive means 11, clutch means 50 coupling the drive to a shaft 13, at least two disc-shaped members 7, 29 carried by said shaft to rotate therewith, one of said members including cam means 30, 30<SP>1</SP>, a stop means 54 situated between said two members and fixed relative to a housing 14, and a stop lug 56 carried by one of said members for engaging said stop means to limit the rotation of the shaft 13, and electrical switch means 18, 19, responsive to the said cam means. As shown, the clutch 50 comprises a pair of spring washers 51, 52 keyed to shaft 13 and frictionally engaging a gear 7 diven by a motor 9 via a pinion (6, Fig. 2, not shown). The shaft 13 can thus be set manually to a desired starting position, subject to limitation due to lug 56 engaging lug 53 on the stop means 54 which, together with contacts 18, 19, is retained in housing 14 by cover 15. Figs. 3 and 4 (not shown) disclose an alternative form of clutch, as in Specification 1,369,922, and this may be used in conjunction with the stop arrangement of this invention.
