Abstract

1369533 Collapsible containers WCBCLARES Ltd 27 March 1973 [27 March 1972] 14331/72 Heading B7B A load carrying container comprises opposed framed side walls 11, 12, a floor 10 and an end wall of two parts 13A, 13B, hinged together and to respective side walls so that by folding the end wall parts together one container can be nested within another. As shown in Fig. 1, a gate 14 is folded inwardly or outwardly to lie gainst wall 11 or the gate may be removed; the floor 10 is folded upwardly and latched to one of the side walls as is a shelf 15. The end walls are then pivoted inwardly and wall 13A secured to side wall 12 by a foot operated catch. A tie rod 32 which is pivotally mounted on one or both of the side walls is high enough to permit a container to pass beneath for nesting. The infill of the walls and gate may be of rod or wire. A roof may be fitted to side wall 12 and latched to side wall 11.
