Abstract

1368113 Wire fabrics ANTHES EQUIPMENT Ltd 9 Sept 1971 [10 Sept 1970] 42012/71 Heading D1K [Also in Division E1] An element for partitions or safety barriers comprises a wire mesh panel 26 having thickened edge portions 40, 46 and a rectangular frame made up of four channel section members 12, 16 each having an undercut slot 28, or 29 which is of less width at its mouth than the thickness of the thickened edge portions. The framing members are held together by nuts and bolts 68 and 70 passing through corner pieces 20 and 22. In forming partitions the elements are secured to studs by members embracing the studs and also the framing member of two panels on opposite sides of the stud. For temporary safety barriers in constructing building the elements are secured to telescopic posts jammed between the floor and ceiling of the building. The post is in three parts, upper and lower parts telescoping within a middle section and having resilient pads for engaging the floor or ceiling.
