Abstract

1368099 Drying webs RIMAR SpA 23 Aug 1971 [22 Aug 1970] 39402/71 Heading F4G. In a perforated suction drum dryer, a web 2 is shifted relative to the drum by rotated rollers 5 (or a non-rotated wire or rod) so that different areas of the web 2 overlie the perforations in the drum 1 in order to avoid irregular concentration of impregnating chemicals as the web dries. The drive to the rollers 5 is independent of the drive to the drum 1. The distance between the rollers 5 and the drum 1 may be varied.
