Abstract

1366805 Spare wheel holders TATRA NARODNI PODNIK 28 Jan 1972 [29 Jan 1971] 4163/72 Heading B7J A spare wheel holder for a vehicle comprises a bracket 2 securable to a vehicle frame 1, a swingable bracket 3 connected by tie rods 13, 14 to the bracket 2, a pneumatically operable servodevice 5 to move the swingable bracket from the position shown in Fig. 2 to a substantially vertical position and a double-armed lever 4 having arms spaced apart on a shaft 15 rotatable on the bracket 2 the shorter arm of which is connectable to the servo device 5 and the longer arm to the swingable bracket. The bracket 3 is provided with locking pins 6, 7 to attach the spare wheel to the bracket when in a substantially vertical position. The bracket 3 also has apertures 8, 9 or a slot to engage clamping bolts 10, 11 on the fixed bracket 2 when the bracket 3 is swung upwardly, whereafter the wheel is secured to the two brackets by wheel nuts.
