1366390 Pile fabrics TEXTILWERKE A HAUS AG 8 Nov 1971 [24 Dec 1970] 51755/71 Heading D1K A method of manufacturing a sculptured pile fabric comprises treating the synthetic pile yarn before forming of the pile, so that parts of its length are shrinkable and the remainder non-shrinkable, then forming the pile on a base layer and heat treating the fabric to form low relief areas. The pile yarn may be multifilament or multiply, parts of one of the plies being shrinkable, the rest of the yarn non-shrinkable.
