Abstract

1366372 Automatic exchange systems TOYOTA MOTOR SALES CO Ltd 13 Sept 1971 [6 Oct 1970 27 Oct 1970] 42579/71 Heading H4K A radio telephone set is adapted to receive a code card which when inserted by a subscriber causes the set to respond to any incoming code identical with the code on the card and in the event of an outgoing call to transmit the code on the card. As described the set has provision for the insertion of two magnetic code cards 1 and 2 each carrying a code number and clock signals. When a card is inserted its number is read at 3 and entered in a corresponding recorder 5 or 6. When an incoming code is received at antenna 7 the code is stored after demodulation at 10 in a recorder 11, and comparators 24 and 25 compare this code with the codes in recorders 5 and 6 and in the event of a match open a gate 21 to gate tone from an oscillator 20 to a loud-speaker 26 alerting the subscriber. To make an outgoing call one or other of two transmitting switches are pressed causing the corresponding code from recorder 5 or 6 to be transmitted identifying the caller.
