1365190 Diamino diaryl methanes and polyamines BAYER AG 14 April 1972 [16 April 1971] 17228/72 Heading C2C In a process for the production of diamino diaryl methanes and polyamino-polyaryl methanes at least one aromatic amine is heated with formaldehyde or a formaldehyde donor to a temperature above 200‹ C. in the absence of catalysts. Examples describe the preparation of diamines together with smaller amounts of polyamines from aniline, o-toluidine, N-methyl and NN-dimethyl anilines and formalin or paraformaldehyde.
