Abstract

1364111 Mounting electrical equipment BUNKER RAMO CORP 20 Sept 1971 [29 Oet 1970] 43770/71 Heading H1R [Also in Division H2] A slidably mounted circuit board 4 has a rail 8 provided with socket housings 16, 18, the contacts of which receive testing apparatus plugs. The board is removed from or inserted into its mounting by the rail. Contacts 10 engage with a socket to connect the board circuitry to further apparatus. In the embodiment illustrated the rail has slidably mounted socket housings. Recesses 26 engage with cams (28) (Fig. 3, not shown) on the socket contacts to lock the housings in position. Variable components, e.g. potentiometer 30, can be mounted behind the rail where no housings are present. The various socket housings may be colour coded.
