Abstract
1362533 Carboxyalkylated polyalkylenepolyamides of fatty acids SANDOZ Ltd 5 July 1971 [6 July 1970] 7701/74 Divided out of 1362532 Heading C2C The invention comprises compounds of formula in which RCO is the acyl derivative of a C 6-22 fatty acid, R 1 , R 2 and R 3 are each hydrogen, C 1-4 alkyl or C 2-5 carboxyalkyl or a metal salt thereof (at least two being carboxyalkyl or salt), m is 1-3 and n is 3-5. These compounds may be prepared by condensing RCOOH with an appropriate polyalkylenepolyamine and then reacting with a salt of a suitable haloalkanoic acid or α,#-unsaturated acid. The compounds are antistatic agents for plastics.
