Abstract
1361958 Airship C P ARGYROPOULOS 26 March 1973 [30 Oct 1972] 14487/73 Heading B7W An airship comprises a frameless balloon 13 within a net or cage 14 and a fixed-wing aircraft 10 connected thereto by a cable 12. The balloon provides lift and engines on the aircraft provide forward propulsion. The balloon is streamlined and may contain spherical balloons, both these and the spaces between them being filled with hydrogen. The aircraft is provided with tanks to contain water as ballast.
