Abstract

1361077 Ventilators ROYAIR Ltd 30 Aug 1972 [20 Oct 1971] 48737/71 Heading F4V A ceiling or wall mounted slot diffuser comprises an elongate housing 1 having an air inlet 2 and an air outlet slot 3 defined by baffles 4, an elongate H-sectioned support member 9, and at least one independently operable elongate damper 14 mounted on each of two opposite sides of the member 9 for rectilinear sliding movement towards and away from the respective baffle 4. The dampers 14 are held in contact with member 9 by leaf springs 13. Abutting sections of housing 1 may be interconnected by keys inserted in bores 8 in baffles 4, and the diffuser is secured to an air supply duct spigot 22 by a bracket 21 which is connected to the diffuser by a screw 18 passing through the web 9<SP>11</SP> of the member 9. Two or more such diffusers may be arranged in parallel juxtaposed relationship and separated by common partition walls 6.
