1360255 Electrochemical preparations BADISCHE ANILIN- & SODA-FABRIK AG 2 Sept 1971 [3 Sept 1970] 40894/71 Heading C2C [Also in Divisions B3 B5 C3 and C7] In Example 1, dimethyl sebacate is made by continuously supplying a methanol solution of monomethyl adipate neutralized by sodium methoxide to an electrochemical cell and passing an electric current through the cell. In Example 4, pinacol is made by electrolysis of a mixture of acetone, water and sulphuric acid or caustic soda.
