Abstract

1359064 Diverting articles from roller conveyers STOHR-FORDERANLAGEN SALZER GmbH 26 May 1972 [28 May 1971] 24962/72 Heading B8A Articles are diverted from a main roller conveyer 1, if desired, to a branch conveyer 2, by the action of a subsidiary belt or roller conveyer device 8. The latter tilts about an axis parallel with the conveyer 2, from a position beneath, to a position at least partly above, the operative surface of the conveyer 1. As shown, the device 8 is a belt conveyer which is mounted on an L- shaped frame (Fig. 5, not shown) as viewed in side elevation. The device 8 is projected into operative position by extending a toggle mechanism 16 (Fig. 7). The drive pulley 9 of the belt of the device 8 may be ribbed, so as to grip the ribbed surface of the belt.
